Tay Dall

Tay Dall, who is a well-known artist in South Africa, has a unique ability to create a tension in her large and colorful oil paintings. Partly through her choice of color but also with the various media that she also uses in some of her paintings such as porcelain, sand, texture, ink, etc. Tay is bursting with energy which she conveys with full strength in her paintings and she experiments a lot with shape and color to achieve a unique result. She describes her art as follows: "The first thing you notice when you see my art in person is coulor. My art bursts forth vibrant, in-your-face color, and that makes my work so alive and real!.....It may have something to do with the intense light you get in South Africa which makes everything more colorful."
